What Blinds are Most Durable?
Durable blinds for your Los Angeles home are certainly an important consideration. Factors such as how much sun exposure they’ll receive, if they’re going to be subject to moisture, and if you have children and pets who may be rough with them all come into play.
- Composite blinds are a great option in many cases! They’re made from a solid, durable material that can withstand high-humidity and sunlight. They’re easy-to-clean and resist warping, fading, cracking or peeling. While the color selection is more limited than other options (read: white), they look great and can mimic wood blinds.
- Faux wood blinds are also high-up on the durability scale. Again, they’re solid PVC and can withstand humidity and direct sunlight easily. They’re moisture-resistant as well as fire-resistant. Both are great options for kitchens and laundry rooms!
- Aluminum blinds also earn an honorable mention for durability. They are some of the most affordable options and available in a huge variety of colors and you can even mix and match to create half-color versions, stripes of colors, or whatever you desire. They avoid dust, stains, and scratches easily. The only downside is they can bend, especially thinner gauge slats.
